Elijah Choi

Elijah Choi (born December 5, 2000), better known by Eli, is a second year student at Seoul University of the Arts, majoring in Fashion with an emphasis in Photography.

To many, Eli comes across as someone who likes to keep things low key,. He doesn't draw attention to himself. It's not like he does it on purpose or anything, he just likes to go with the flow. He waits for people to come to him, he doesn't make the first move. He's deep, and has a lot on his mind. He thinks often. All the time. It's not like he has anything else going on. He's a people-watcher. That's how he knows how to capture raw emotion on camera. That's how he understands how people fall naturally, how to get models to pose like it's nothing. He blends into the background, and it's a good thing. He's like a fly on the wall.

Relationships

Arthur Lee his closest friend and occasional subject of his photography projects. They hadn't known each other before SUA, and probably would have never crossed paths as Arthur is a few years older, and sticks to the music wing of campus— somewhere Eli rarely goes— if it hadn't been for his other friend forcing him to bring snacks to the studio room he was using. On the way there, Eli found himself distracted. A few feet down in the empty concert hall, sat a lone pianist, playing a beautiful tune. Eli couldn't help but peek in and photograph him. He also couldn't help but forget to stop the door from slamming shut, scaring poor Arthur and also putting himself into yet another situation where he'd have to explain that— no, he wasn't a stalker or a creep.

Cyrus Lee another new and close friend of his. Cyrus approached Eli a few days after first meeting him at one of SUA's many events on campus. He had seen him and his other friend, Cairo, photographing dancers on stage for the school newsletter and decided to ask him if he'd be interested in photographing him for his portfolio. Unsurprisingly, Eli said yes. He needed to improve his motion photography and saw this as the perfect opportunity to do so. Cyrus and Eli have become closer and closer ever since.

Lily Lee his oldest childhood friend. With their parents being close friends, Lily and Eli inevitably became close growing up. Navigating elementary school together as what the teachers would call a "bonded pair," but to be completely honest, Eli was the clinger. Lily was the more independent one, a talkative spirit, and an expert at making friends— Eli, on the other hand, was timid and preferred to stick to Lily. If it hadn't been for her though, Eli wouldn't be nearly as social as he is now.

Anthony Park an acquaintance, someone he never really talks to outside of gatherings with their mutual friend (Levi), at least in person. Unbeknownst to both of them, they're actually quite close friends, behind their screens. Online they've connected on deep levels, telling each other their deepest secrets and discussing the most random and personal topics, without ever having exchanged photos or real names.

Daniel Hwang his assigned roommate, and source of all of his headaches and sleepless nights. Daniel is what Eli would describe as "irresponsible" and a "bastard", along with other harsh words. One of the richest kids in the school, a party animal, and serial homework thief— Eli's worst nightmare. If you ever find yourself in the presence of these two, or in their general vicinity, you'll probably hear nothing but rambling and petty arguments.

Levi Na a high school acquaintance and now close friend. Sharing similar majors, they often help each other with assignments. Eli charges less for photography than upperclassmen,
